The Comparative Power Cost Study is a survey of industrial rates for approximately 30 investor-owned utilities in the southeastern United States. It compares the electricity cost for an industrial customer taking transmission level service with a 50 MW load and a 90% load factor, and is prepared quarterly by Brubaker Associates, Inc. using publicly available information.

The Residential, Commercial and Industrial Rate Maps are based on Edison Electric Institute's (EEI) Typical Bills and Average Rates Report which presents typical monthly electric bills and average kilowatthour cost to the customer at rates charged by investor-owned utilities.
